Slowpitch softball is a game that we can all play! It`s fun, very social and as competitive as you want it to be. We have a great mix of people, having complete beginners that join us every year and some who have been playing with us since we started in 1998.
There are gay men, lesbians, gay friendlies, beginners and experienced who would like to have a bit of a hit. And the guys and girls are from all
aspects of our community from straight, twinks to bears, gym bunnies to common variety and a great contingent of lesbians.
Regular social matches are organised throughout the winter months, while in summer we coordinate weekly competition and a full league. We played with 10 teams in the 2007/2008 league- that's more than 130 players! We are aiming to get back to 11 teams for the 2008/09 season.
We play on the diamonds opposite Fox Studios and the summer league games are played each Tuesday evening starting 6.30pm - you can register
your interest for the summer league online or email us at info@sydneyoutfielders.org.au. We always have a drink and a feed after the game as well.
We`re very social, friendly and welcoming and it`s a great way to meet some guys/girls that you probably would not meet on the usual circuits. Don't worry if you have never played before, we have newbies every year.
Come along to our registration (and social hit) day on 12 October 2008 @ Sports Day Out, Sydney Boy's High School (Cleveland Street, Moore Park), have a bit of a hit and meet other players from the league. The first game of the season will be played on Tuesday 21 October 2008.
Download the Registration Form, fill it out and bring it along with your $60 payment to sign up for the season, or sign up online now. Team allocation will start taking place in September.
