When and where do we play?
Summer league games are played Tuesday evenings from 6.30pm during summer daylight savings. A game lasts 7 innings or for 1.5 hours - which ever comes first.
Games are played at the Robertson Road diamonds in Moore Park, opposite Fox Studios.
After the game, many players like to have a drink and a bite to eat together. From 2011 we have the Alexandria Hotel on the corner of Henderson Road & Garden Street Alexandria looking after us each Tuesday after the Games with a weekly dinner special and deals on jugs of beer.

Toilets and change rooms are next to Diamond 4.
Players Equipment & Uniforms
All you need is a glove! If you don't have a glove Sydney Outfielders may be able to loan you one for your game, but spare gloves can be scarce at times, especially at the start of a new season.

Game equipment is supplied (see Kit Bags)
Teams are asked to wear uniforms to identify them. Uniforms can be a simple as a t-shirt the same colour or actual uniform (i.e same design, print, numbers etc). Teams are not required to purchase uniforms.
If caps are worn they should also be alike.
Exposed jewellery such as wristwatches, bracelets, any type of earrings, neck chains, or any other item judged to be dangerous by the umpire, may not be worn during the game. Medical alert bracelets and necklaces are not considered jewellery, but if worn, must be taped to the body.
If you are a new team or planning on changing yout team colour please check with the league president before selecting a new team colour so teams do not double up.

Kit bags
A kit bag is available for each diamond. These are allocated out to 5 teams during the season. This allows those teams to use the equipment for their training if they wish.
- It is the responsibility of the teams to bring the kit bag to all games (including the week they have a bye). If we don't have the kit bags show the games can not be played.
- Teams with kit bags are marked with an asterixis * on the draw sheet.
- Individuals responsible for bringing the kit bags should aim to arrive before 6pm.
- Some weeks two teams playing will both have kit bags, in this case one of the teams will need to deliver their kit bag to a diamond that has no kit bag. This is also marked out.
- Kit bags contain bases for the diamond, bats, helmets and balls. Spare gloves are not part of the kit bags, if you forget your glove contract the equipment coordinator to see if any are available that week to be borrowed.
Wet Weather
Your captain will be informed at 4:00pm of a Tuesday match is to be called off. Please contact your captain shortly after this time.
The wet weather coordinator will contact the Centennial Parklands Trust to find out if the grounds are closed.
- If the grounds are closed the games will be rescheduled for the dedicated rain week.
- If the grounds are open, the OUTfielders wet weather coordinator will make a decision as to whether or not the matches will be played.
- If the coordinator decides the match will be played and each team wishes to play, the match will go ahead as scheduled.
- If a team disagrees with the coordinators decision they a contact the opposing team and ask if they wish to play.
- If both team do not wish to play, they can agree to a draw and advise the President. If one team does not wish to play, they must forfeit.
If games in progress are affected by rain, a call will be made to call them off. Any game called off due to wet weather shall:
- If 3 innings or 45 minutes have been played, the game will be called and the score shall revert to the last full complete innings.
- If less then 3 innings or 45 minutes have been played a draw will be declared and points allocated accordingly.
Games will only be called off if there is lightning or extreme rain/storms.

Alcohol and illegal drug is not permitted for players to drink during the game and we strongly suggest that you do not consume alcohol prior to your match either. Intoxication increases the chances of game accidents and can void any insurance claims for yourself and other involved parties.

During the season, if a team has a bye they will be required to umpire all the games for that Tuesday evening - if a team provides their 5 umpires they receive two points, adding to their total points and ladder ranking. Umpires should review the rules prior to the game. If there is a difficult dispute during the game, feel free to call 'time out' and discuss issues with both captains for adjudication.
