Lets Slay Ball! - Mardi Gras + Event

Let’s Slay Ball! is softball with sequins — a Mardi Gras–themed softball mini tournament hosted by the Sydney Outfielders, Australia’s largest LGBTQIA+ softball league. The event gives our classic community games a glittery makeover, with rainbow flair, skills challenges, and cheeky surprises between innings. Costumes and sparkle are encouraged, from a touch of glitter to full drag-on-the-diamond.

This event is relevant to LGBTQIA+ communities because it reclaims sport as a safe, joyful, and affirming space. For many in our community, traditional sporting environments have felt exclusionary. Let’s Slay Ball! flips that narrative, celebrating queer pride and belonging through play, visibility, and shared celebration.
