REGISTRATION INFORMATION
2025/26 SOFTBALL SEASON
Registration for the 2025/26 season will open in two stages. Round 1 is a two-week priority period for returning members from the 2024/25 season, giving them first opportunity to secure their spot for the new season.
Round 2 will then open to both new players and returning members who missed Round 1. Places are limited based on team needs and will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
From Round 2 onwards, we will also be offering Social Memberships, available throughout the year for those who want to be part of the Outfielders community without taking a playing spot.
Player Concession Membership is available to players aged 18–25 before 14 October 2025, as well as those holding a valid Concession Card such as a Pensioner Concession Card (PCC), Commonwealth Seniors Health Card, Veteran Card, Seniors Card, Health Care Card, or Companion Card.
We recognise that some players may experience financial hardship, and this should never prevent you from joining the league. Please see our Financial Hardship section below for more information.
Round 01 - Returning Players
Registration Opens September 4th 2025
Round 01 is open exclusively to players who were members during the 2024/25 season. This is a two-week priority window, running from Thursday 4th September to Thursday 18th September 2025, giving returning players the chance to secure their spot for the upcoming season before places open more broadly in Round 2.
Registrations will close at 6pm promptly on Thursday 18th September 2025.

Player Concession Membership: $70*
Important: If a returning member does not register during Round 1, they may still apply in Round 2, but a place will not be guaranteed. Spots in Round 2 are limited and offered on a first come, first served basis.

Round 02 - New Players
Registration Opens September 20th 2025
Round 2 will open to new players as well as returning members who missed Round 1. Registration will open on Saturday 20th September 2025 and will remain open until all places are filled or until Tuesday 7 October 2025 (whichever comes first).
Places in Round 2 are limited based on team needs and will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

In Round 2, player memberships will be offered across three membership streams to help us balance gender representation across teams and maintain inclusivity within the league:

It is always up to each player to select the stream that best reflects their gender identity. The league will never assign or question a player’s identity at any time.

Social Membership
Registration Opens September 20th 2025
Social Memberships will be available from Round 02 onwards and remain open throughout the year. This option is ideal for anyone who wants to be part of the Outfielders community without taking up a playing spot — whether that’s supporting friends or family in the league, joining our events, or simply staying connected off the field. Social Members receive an allocation to a team, discounted tickets to Sydney Outfielders events, and opportunities to train with the teams at training sessions and non competitive pick up games throughout the season.

*Social Members cannot play in competitive games rounds for insurance purposes.

Financial Hardship
We understand that some players may experience financial hardship, but this shouldn’t stop you from being part of the league. This season, we are offering flexible payment options, including Afterpay, to help spread the upfront cost of membership.
If you need additional support, you are welcome to contact the committee at info@sydneyoutfielders.org.au. Please specify in your request what you would like the committee to consider — whether you are asking for a payment plan throughout the season or a full fee waiver. We will not ask you to corroborate or justify your financial situation; your privacy and dignity are our priority.
We ask that financial hardship options are used in good faith on an honour system and not abused.
